About the Game

Terraternity: The Energy Challenge is a cooperative/competitive Euro game designed by Udo Neumann under Igan Mich Games. Players represent world countries building renewable power plants and stacking CO2 cubes on a wooden globe. When cubes fall, climate disasters trigger. The game emphasized eco-friendly materials throughout: wood, natural stones, and biodegradable components instead of plastic.

The crowdfunding campaign ran October 5–31, 2021, raising ~$9,250 of its $25,000 goal. The campaign did not fund due to unforeseen team circumstances, but the insert design was already completed.

The Insert

This was a unique project: the insert was designed and finished despite the campaign not funding. The globe piece required a custom-shaped recess, and the lava stones and wooden cubes each needed their own secure compartments to prevent scratching during transit.
